Overview

The JBoss Application Administration II course from Koenig offers necessary skills to experienced system administrators for deploying and managing Red Hat JBoss EAP 6 on a large scale in complex production environments. The lab intensive training of this JBoss EAP 6 will equip professionals with core skills to perform advanced operations and functions in a JBoss deployment. This is a follow-on training program for JBoss Application Administration I.



Course Prerequisites

JBoss Application Administration I (JB248) (highly recommended)

  • JBoss Certified Application Administrator (JBCAA) Enterprise Application Platform 6 status is recommended but not required; students should at least be able to accomplish the tasks associated with the JBCAA EAP 6 exam (EX248).

Note: Due to the significant management and operational changes between EAP 5 and EAP 6, it is highly recommended that students attend the JB248 course before attending this course.

Upon Completion of this Course, you will accomplish following:-

On course completion, participants will become well verse with performance tuning, clustering, troubleshooting, and security of enterprise application instances. Apart from these, participants can look forward to learn the following skills:

  • Installing JBoss EAP 6 and its optional components
  • Deploying JBoss to the cloud, and also to production environments
  • Learning the process of clustering and importance of tuning
  • Scripting with CLI
  • Resource monitoring and management for Enterprise Application Platform 6
  • Ensuring security by means of authorization, authentication, networking and interface management
  • Clustering, tuning and managing HornetQ messaging system
