Overview
This three-day class presents a methodology for designing a VMware Horizon® solution. The design methodology includes recommendations for the type of information and data that must be collected and examined to arrive at sound design decisions for the client systems, the desktop options, the VMware vSphere® infrastructure, and VMware Horizon components. VMware best practices are submitted for each stage of the invention procedure. In this course, you apply your new knowledge by playing with other participants to design a VMware Horizon solution for a real-world task.
Course Prerequisites
- Experience with virtualized desktop implementation
- Familiarity with VMware Horizon
- VMware App Volumes Fundamentals (eLearning) recommended
- VMware User Environment Manager Fundamentals (eLearning) recommended
- VMware ThinApp Fundamentals (eLearning) recommended
Upon Completion of this Course, you will accomplish following:
- Validate the architectures of App Volumes and User Environment Manager
- Install and configure App Volumes
- Create and deploy AppStacks and writable volumes
- Install and configure User Environment Manager
- Manage application configurations, user environment settings, and personalization settings
