Overview

The Red Hat OpenStack Administration III or CL310 course at Koenig offers core skills and knowledge on using the distributed storage capabilities of Ceph Storage and the networking features of OpenStack Neutron. Experienced Linux Administrators will learn to configure a Ceph environment and install it as a backend for OpenStack. Participants will also gain essential skills to set up and implement the advanced functionalities of OpenStack Neutron.

Audience: This OpenStack Administration III advanced course is ideal for experienced administrators who are responsible for maintaining OpenStack enterprise environments, and who wish to learn in depth about configuring scalable storage solutions and advanced features of Neutron in OpenStack.

Course Prerequisites
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE®) certification or equivalent experience
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack certification or equivalent experience
  • Have taken Red Hat OpenStack Administration (CL210) course

Upon Completion of this Course, you will accomplish following:

  • Implement and configure Red Hat Ceph Storage
  • Manage and implement snapshots and clones in Ceph Storage
  • Use Ceph object gateway (RADOSGW) and block device (RBD) for accessing Ceph Storage
  • Integrate Glance Image service with Ceph for storing OpenStack images
  • Integrate Nova compute service for storing instance data
  • Provision and maintain tenant networks based on VLAN, GRE and VXLAN
  • Configure and implement LBaaS (Load-balancer-as-a-service) in OpenStack
  • Implement and Manage networks inside a network namespace.
  • Configure and manage virtual network devices and virtual network bridges
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to Neutron
